Part experimental film, part historical reenactment, part music video, Utah Dreams is a short film exploring the legend and legacy of the Utah Teapot. Originally created by computer scientist Martin Newell the teapot soon became ubiquitous within the field of computer graphics. As the field grew the teapot became culturally more significant: it appeared in The Simpsons; the Pixar films Toy Story and Monster’s Inc; it appears in the microsoft ‘pipes’ screensaver. Utah Dreams is a homage to the humble Utah Teapot. Antony Barkworth-Knight is a director from Manchester, UK. Working across multiple disciplines he creates eclectic work that is unique, visually arresting with a strong interplay between audio and visual elements.
